Ellen Feldman is an attorney and family mediator practicing with C.E.L. & Associates in the Chicago area. She completed her undergraduate studies in government at Smith College in 1978 and went on to earn her law degree from Indiana University School of Law in 1981. After law school, Ellen spent 15 years practicing commercial litigation in Chicago, working with both small and large law firms. During that time, she appeared in Illinois State and Federal courts and was active in her community, including volunteering in local schools and serving on various boards and advisory councils.
In 2006, Ellen began volunteering with The Lilac Tree in Evanston, a nonprofit organization that supports individuals navigating the divorce process. She later completed comprehensive training in family and divorce mediation at the DePaul University Center for Conflict Resolution. Ellen is on the approved list of mediators for the 19th Judicial Circuit Family Mediation Program in Lake County, Illinois, and frequently volunteers her mediation services there. She is also involved in professional mediation programs in Cook County.
